We can create a survey form using two different approaches:
- Using Survey 123 Connect
- Using ArcGIS Survey123
In this article, we will demonstrate the steps on using ArcGIS Survey123 to view the data that is being collected in the field and also to analyze the parameters related to the active data collection. We can visualize the information of the surveys that were created from both the approaches mentioned above. The steps are as follows:
1. Go to ArcGIS Survey123 using your browser
2. Login with your ArcGIS Online credentials provided to you by the Cadasta Foundation
3. You will see all the surveys that you own and also that you can access (update/edit). We are using the survey called Project Grow Survey Training for this demo. Select the survey from your screen or you can type the name of the survey inside the search bar located at top-right of the screen
4. Once you select the survey, a new screen will appear. You will see six different tabs inside the Header Panel: Overview; Analyze; and Data. Overview tab will be the default selection
5. Inside the Overview page, you can find the summary statistics of the survey. You can visualize the total number of records and total number of participants. You can also see the date of first submission and the most recent submission
6. If you scroll down, you can see a line graph with total survey counts per day. You can also see a date filter on the top-right section of the chart which can be used to filter the chart based on specified date range. If you scroll down further, you can see a list of users and total number of surveys they have collected till date
7. Similarly, select the Analyze tab. You can use this Analyze tab to view the summary of answers of each and every question from the survey. On the right side of the screen you can see tables, charts and graphs and on the left side you can see all the questions that were mentioned inside the survey
8. Scroll down to view the summary of each and every question. You can also use filters located on the top left of the screen
9. Select the Data tab right next to the Analyze tab. You can view the geolocation of the data inside a map and also view all the data in a tabular format
