PROJECT GOALS

In order to conduct this activity the participants must be divided in groups of three. Ensure that the groups are equally represented, meaning each group should be gender balanced.

Activity objective: Describe in few words what is your project main goal
Timing: 5 minutes
Strategy: Open discussion
Presentation: Flipcharts

To complete this exercise, each group should consider the following:

a. Designate the group speaker.

b. Give time to each group member to present his/her opinion or argument.

c. Discuss and agree on the common point of view.

d. Write down on the flip chart the appropriate responses.

Groups presentation and discussion: all groups are invited to present their findings in 2 min. At the end of all presentations there will be a space for an open discussion for 5 min.

CADASTA OBJECTIVE

In this section, use the Cadasta Organization StoryMap to briefly describe Cadasta’s objectives, mission, vision and core activities. To better inform the audience, the powerpoint presentation should include images, pictures and other visual elements of the different activities supported in the field.

DATA COLLECTION

Activity objective: Describe the process of data collection
Timing: 15 minutes
Strategy: Structured workflow and discussion
Presentation: Flipcharts

To complete this exercise, each group should consider the following:

a. List all the steps leading to a data collection

b. Describe the Do’s and Don’ts when conducting data collection

c. Discuss the ethics when conducting a data collection, specifically regarding to:
i. Respect the local norms and culture
ii. Proper structure to accommodate people with disabilities during the data collection
iii. Acknowledge gender sensitiveness

d. Discuss the challenges during the data collection

e. Summarize on the flip chart the appropriate responses

Groups presentation and discussion: All groups are invited to present their findings in 5 min. At the end of all presentations there will be a space for an open discussion for 20 min.
